“It is mind-boggling that an average person would need or be able to possess that kind of firepower ? yet, it is very easy to do so in this country. Wong, like other recent mass killers, owned his weapons legally.” – as quoted from the article this is the part that gets to me. The pro-guns crowd always hypes protection. Epic Update
I had reached the point where the pain and depression had gotten to be too much. I was fighting with the people who loved me… shutting them out…. really contemplating going down that scary road again. But… after just a week of treatments… I had did a complete 180. Once the pain was gone, I was able to get back to living my life.

It hasn’t been fun lately.
I feel like I don’t mean as much to the ones I love as they mean to me. As a result, I’ve been trying to get closer, but then comes the neediness and begging for reassurances. Bless them, they try to make me feel better, but I know I’m driving them nuts.

So I was just now playing with Li’l Bit. Mr. “I’ve got to be involved with everything” Jak was sitting in the hallway watching with his typical jealous stare. Li’l Bit stopped playing for a moment, walked over to Jak, gave him a kiss and then walked back to continue playing with me.

I may have helped to save a life today.
This….what happened today…..works. Saving a life, or even just the possibility that I may have been involved in saving someone’s life, most definitely works. It’s the ultimate compliment to my fellow man. It means they are worth my time and effort. It means I care about them. It means I, too, am a part of the human race. And mostly, it means that I, too, am worth it to myself.

My little princess
One of the things I love about Li’l Bit is how she likes to do things in consistent pattern. She has her favorite places to go and favorite routines. One such is everyday right after supper she always goes and jumps up on the guest room dresser and peers out at the hallway waiting for me to come in and give her scritches. If I don’t come soon enough when I pass by the doorway she’ll be giving me a strange look as if to say, “what’s the hold up?”
