CD Baby: COLD TRUTH: Do Whatcha Do.

Cold Truth bandSo if you click on that link above the picture I believe you’ll recognize the cover picture of the CD.  Yah.  That is correct.  They are one in the same and that’s just a little something to be proud of.

Obviously, the CD cover picture was done by me.  As a matter of fact all of the pictures on the CD (they’re more inside the cover) were done by me.  What you are looking at is what is known in the industry as a tear sheet and this is my first.  Actually, it’s my only one, but still… it’s my first and I’m proud of it.

To make a long story short I happen to be a friend of the drummer, Matt, so they asked me if I’d be interested in doing the cover art for their upcoming CD.  We got together, took some pictures and now you see the results.

Yeah, Cold Truth,1 a local band playin’ good old fashion rock isn’t a chart topping act, but their music’s pretty good (read the review) and this CD is on the market making my cover art available to the masses.  I like the thought of that.  I have no idea how many they’ve sold, but there’s a good chance that somebody somewhere who has no idea of who I am has that CD in their collection and has checked out my images of the band.

I doubt that very many, if anybody is looking at those images and thinking how good they are, but I bet they do reflect the band in the manner that they had intended.  That’s the cool part.  That’s the part of pride.  That’s the part that makes me happy.  My images are adding to the identity of the band and that means I successfully did my job.  Yayness.

Oh, yeah, check out Cold Truth’s website.  www.coldtruth.net.  That would be my artwork being featured there, too.2  And as long as you’re there, check these guys out.  Just good old rock like you used to play.  You might even feel inspired to buy a CD.
