Turtle Life
So being the young ‘un of the duo with a very aggressive and mischievous personality Jak creates plenty of stories.? So many that it might be easy to forget that I have two cats.? The thing is Li’l Bit is pretty much a quiet child who never causes a commotion, but that just makes her my little princess.
Yeah, precious Li’l Bit might very well be the world’s sweetest cat.? About the only bad thing she does is occasionally scratching her claws on the furniture.? Even then she only does it to the old and worn out items that I don’t care if they get roughed up.? She really is a darling.
One of the things I love about Li’l Bit is how she likes to do things in consistent pattern.? She has her favorite places to go and favorite routines.? One such is everyday right after supper she always goes and jumps up on the guest room dresser and peers out at the hallway waiting for me to come in and give her scritches.? If? I don’t come soon enough when I pass by the doorway she’ll be giving me a strange look as if to say, “what’s the hold up?”
In the morning when I sit down at my computer to read the news and stuff she jumps right up on the desk to greet me and receive scritches.? Used to be Jak who did that, but now she beats him to it.? Normally he’ll follow and I’ll be trying to eat my breakfast and navigate my PC with both of them climbing all over my desk.? If it wasn’t so much fun having them here I guess it would be annoying, but that’s why they’re my babies.
Each night before bed Li’l Bit always comes and hops up on my nightstand and hangs out for a while.? Because she likes to sleep in my foyer she only hangs out in my bedroom for a while then she’s off to bed only to return first thing in the morning to greet me good morning.
In between cat naps LI’l Bit will hunt me down for affection.? She is so sweet.
And of course if it’s near dinner time she’s right there hanging around, but not making a scene.? She’ll just hang out.? She doesn’t meow or mess with stuff.? She might get up on my desk and just look at me, though.? LOL
As a matter of fact Li’l Bit rarely meows.? She’s extremely quiet.? Actually, both her and Jak don’t make a lot of noise…. well at least not verbally.
Anyways, my Li’l Bit is my little princess.? When I come home and she is sitting in the window she just sits there like royalty waiting for me to come over and pay my respects.? Not that I mind.? She’s so sweet in everything she does, she just makes me smile even thinking about it.? (that’s right I’ve got a big grin going as I write this.)
Jak commands a lot of attention.? He’s around me constantly and if he doesn’t get the attention he wants he’s good about finding something to get into that will draw attention, but Li’l Bit brings a very special brand of sweetness.? I’m so glad to have her around.? She makes things quite sweet around here and always reminds me of the beauty of life.
