  1. Classic Carmen model: Carmen Lacy

Solstice, dreams and the roads that take us there. A classic image that was created from my first photo shoot designed to be posted on Model Mayhem. My co-worker and friend Carmen had volunteered to model for the shoot. She did a great job.

  2. You never know dove_peace_world

I imagine from time to time we all get these emails consisting of a special story of religious or spiritual lessons. Most of them are told from the first person and are, typically, very nice. Most of them usually end with a statement about sending the email on to x amount of people and you will receive a special blessing, but I recently received this one from my aunt that didn’t. I, also, noticed that it appeared to have been originated by my sister.

I make no claims to knowing how she came about it cause I didn’t ask her. I liked the story and how I was not directed to send it to anyone else. Still I find it a beautiful story with a beautiful message so I wanted to share it. So here it is.

I hope you enjoy it and find the message helpful to you in your daily lives.

  3. Nashville Automotive Examiner

As a young boy I would watch all the cars on the road and try to determine what make, model and production year they were. Growing up in Lansing, Michigan, the home of the original General Motors Oldsmobile division, and the son of an automobile factory worker I think I had predisposed genes for the love of automobiles.

  5. Quality of the Big Three’s autos not up to par? Check again. Ford Announces More Job Cuts, Plant Closings

What may be a bit surprising is that the Big Three have already been producing the quality of vehicles that erase such images as results from the J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study over the last three years have shown. According to the 2009 study GM’s Buick division ranks as the best tied with Jaguar for vehicle dependability. Ford Motor Company’s Mercury and Lincoln brands ranked five and eight in the study with Cadillac placing ninth. Buick has ranked among the top ten since 2003.

Add this to the fact that five of the top ten Most Improved Cars and Trucks for 2009 were from domestic divisions of the Big Three and it appears that there has been marked improvement in the quality of the U.S. automakers’ products.

  6. Direct Lending Solutions & their Easy Credit Rip-offs direct_lending_solutions

Quite shortly after I finished my efforts on Direct Lending Solutions’ site I began to get a huge amount of spam emails for all sorts of loan approvals, special credit cards and credit offers.

The listed total is 61 and out of that I’d say 80-90% of it relates to credit. It’s pretty obvious that Direct Lending Solutions is directly providing the information of those who apply with them to the leeches who provide us our daily dose of spam.

And it didn’t stop with my email, for that matter. Remember above where I mentioned my phone number was a required field? The night wasn’t gone before I started getting spam text messages. I’m still searching for the spam filter on my phone. Thankfully I haven’t received many since I did reply to one of them to STOP sending me text messages, although the activity at my home address mailbox is still much busy.

I seem to remember there was a box to check or un-check that referred to receiving additional services,

  8. Guns and the irony of two articles in today’s Tennessean Supreme Court Rules To Protect An Individuals Right To Own Guns

Two articles from today’s Tennessean linked by irony. In the readers’ comments section following the stories the arguments for/against guns rage with the same old cliche’s and the same old diatribe. I wonder were any of them paying attention.

The first article mentions that part of the reason for the spike in illegal gun sales are that folks are afraid the Obama administration is going to crack down on their ability to own firearms. In the second article a man was killed due to a dispute with the other.

  10. Standing on my own for the first time Jacqui Lang with horse

When you suffer from depression, its easy to rely on your romantic partner to hold you up. When a perfectly healthy and strong person allows themselves to be held up by someone else, its as if they’re using a wheelchair to get around. Their legs get weak.

  11. Depression can be like sex Jacqui Lang with horse

Depression, in a weird way, can be like sex, or a person’s sexuality. It changes and evolves as we grow. Things we took so seriously when we were younger are things that we can now look back on and laugh.

Was robbed of its riches, its freedom, its pride
