Can I get a witness?

I came up listening to the sweet songs of classic soul singers and I still love hearing them especially now-a-days.  I guess I’m old, but I don’t much care for the way these kids call themselves singing.  Adjacent melodies over powered by the beat and all that talkin’ don’t do it for me.  Give me some of that good old fashion soul.  That’ll do it for me.

Does somebody know what I’m talkin’ about?  Can somebody help me out?

I tell you what.  Why don’t y’all just listen to this set I fixed up for you?  Get yourself a heapin’ helpin’ of some good ol’ soul music and then tell me.  Can I get a witness?
