“I had always wanted to record a whole section of just harmonicas, then have one other instrument play lead, so I told (saxophonist) Charles Miller, ‘I have an idea I want to try.’  First I laid down six harmonica parts.  Then I recorded my foot tapping and my fingers snapping.  And then I had Charles play sax on top of that, and that was it,” explained the song’s writer Lee Oskar. – from the CD liner notes written by Barry Alfonso
