My commentary on items in the news

  1. How loud do we have to scream? Four Killed, Several Injured In Pennsylvania Fitness Club Shooting

Gunman at PA health club was bitter over women – Yahoo! News
How many more? How many more murders? How many more lives wasted? How many more insane tragedies must we witness before we figure this out?

He killed three women and wounded nine others before committing suicide.

    How many more?

  2. Guns and the irony of two articles in today’s Tennessean Supreme Court Rules To Protect An Individuals Right To Own Guns

Two articles from today’s Tennessean linked by irony. In the readers’ comments section following the stories the arguments for/against guns rage with the same old cliche’s and the same old diatribe. I wonder were any of them paying attention.

The first article mentions that part of the reason for the spike in illegal gun sales are that folks are afraid the Obama administration is going to crack down on their ability to own firearms. In the second article a man was killed due to a dispute with the other.

  3. Editorial: Constant in mass killings is easy access to guns; bill should be vetoed | www.tennessean.com | The Tennessean

“It is mind-boggling that an average person would need or be able to possess that kind of firepower ? yet, it is very easy to do so in this country. 5. Child’s death wont stop Detroit’s violence | Detroit Free Press

Murders will end when killers don’t want to solve their problems that way. They’ll end when a life is more valuable than a bag of crack rocks, a car, gun or some imagined element of “disrespect.”

…. To quote Gandhi, “We must be the future we wish to see.”

  6. So more laws will solve this?

Please pardon me, Mr. Governor, but that statement is so much political BS that only blind and ignorant sheep will believe it……..

I’m reading this article and I’m hurting because of the damage that engineer’s stupid act caused. Do I want to see another waste of tax payers’ money spent on another useless law?

  7. Day of kindness

I know in our world today we find it much too easy not to believe it can be done, but the only person who has to do anything is you. It starts with you. That’s all it takes.
