Powering up
Electricity was restored to our neighborhood around 1:30 AM this morning. All hail those utility workers at Nashville Electric Service who got out and struggled in such difficult conditions to restore power to the community.

Home safe and dark
As I drove down Ocala Dr. I was holding out faint hope that I would return home to find our electricity restored. The hope ended when I caught sight of the darkened road that trailed behind the row of illuminated street lights. Slightly disappointed if not surprised I guided my car down the rest of the route into the power void that had seized my neighborhood.

That’s a lot of water – Nashville flood 2010
If you’ll note that video that I linked up above that is a portable school building from a school that is located about 2 miles from my house. The result of that event knocked out power in a part of my neighborhood – where my home is located. So I don’t have any power.

The Backstage Project and other fun affairs
You are quite right. It has been nearly a month since my last update post. I think I mentioned that I was deep in launching a special new site, The Backstage Project, and was, also, looking at another overhaul of Turtle Life. As of today, both tasks have been completed, but that’s not all that’s been going on with me.

The past two weekends have found me playing host to model friends and acquaintances and I have shot every weekend so far this year. Each one has been very special and somewhat unique. Happy times they have been.

For the past week
For the past week I have been quite busy putting together an artistic project website call the Backstage Project. Typical of the way I do things I start on a project and work on it practically full time until I’ve reached a satisfactory level of construction. In this case it’s putting together the initial pieces for public inspection.

Frozen
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday have all been kind of like glacier days for me – frozen and slow moving. Not much of anything really got accomplished as I constantly found myself frozen at the decision of what to do next.

Friday already?
A lot of people think modeling is looking pretty or sexy for a picture. It’s not. Modeling is in the sense of purposeful making of pictures/images is portraying a role in a scene. The model may or may not be the main subject of that image, but the model’s role is to sell that image (as in make it seem believable or natural) to the viewer.

Huge, but gotta stay in the fight
Yesterday was huge. More blessings flowed through this conduit until a special blessing for me came down that line.

First a telephone call to my friend helped her make it through the day, and she was blessed mightily before it ended. The good news made for much gladness and praise in my heart.

Motivated to forgiveness
I’m on the back end of my Saturday and I was just in the kitchen, finally cleaning it up. I was giving myself grief because I missed all of my goals that I had set for today. Yeah, I managed completion of a few tasks, but the goals that they were a part of ended up being missed by a long shot. Safe to say my day didn’t go as planned.

More drugs and feeling better
Doctor’s visit went good today, even though I still managed to find a way to make myself late getting out of the house, therefore making me late for my appointment. The important thing is I made it. Hadn’t seen my psychiatrist in a while and I was long over due for a visit.
